What does fate have in store for her? The story tells us how we do our best to make our own fate but our lives are ruled by something outside our control,a strong force that we can't explain. I was so happy,I couldn't wait to leave this place. I had forgotten how it felt to be under the open sky or to count the stars up high. I wondered how long I have been here,I looked around for a calendar in the ward but there was nothing of sort,I hope I didn't miss Grandpa's birthday. As I sat at the edge of my bed,swinging my feet back and forth awaiting the arrival of my mum and dad,especially Tania......I couldn't wait to see her and my troublesome brother too. The door finally opened and the first thing I saw broke my heart into pieces,it was my Dad. He was on a wheelchair been pushed by my mum and one of his leg was gone. My brother walked in with crouches in both hands as he tried to support himself. What happened to my complete family? What could have happened to us that we all ended in the hospital? I thought of this as tears rolled down my face. The sight was too heartbreaking and I could not take all of this in,I ran into my dad's arm as I could not stop sobbing. Mum and my brother all came close and we had our 'family hug' and that's when I knew something wasn't right,I felt it.....something was missing in our midst. And that's when it hit me.......
