On the verge of cancerous brain tumor and down on luck, a man named Eddie Brock seems to be struggling with his life on the day to day basis of plans on trying to get by, however things get weirder is when he gets the call to check out and shoot photos for the sight of a crime scene that had happened later on discovering the body of a random woman he takes photos for his job at the Daily Bugle due to that something has followed him home after leaving. Something that isn't supposed to be in this world and that something has formed a parasitic symbiotic bond with him.
