This fanfiction is set in the 74th hunger games, and is centred around a tribute from District 9. There are some familiar faces in the story, and its kind of a rewrite ig? Some stuff is still cannon though! I haven't read the books in years or seen the movies in a while and I'm trying to bang this out on my five hour train ride all in one, so it could be a little inaccurate and it will probably be quite short! Katniss Everdeen never happened. The Capital has been in control for 100 long, deathly years. Jaycie is a young fourteen-year-old girl living in District 8 who spends most of her time sewing and helping around her family's house. Peeta Mellark didn't swallow the berries, so Katniss Everdeen died in the arena. 26 years has passed, and the fourth quarter quell has arrived. There will be 9 games total. The first 8 will contain one tribute from each district; four of these games will consist of males, the other four of females. The final four remaining at the end of each game will then move to the 'final game', where only one will survive. 96 tributes will enter, but only one will escape the arena. Cover by @debnam-careys
