Thirteen-year old Squires Lancelot and Gwaine dropped Merlin off at a safe place. They began their journey back to their kingdom but were attacked by bandits. Gwaine was kidnapped and Lancelot was left for dead, badly injured and unconscious. Luckily, he was taken and healed by druids. They both got word that their kingdom was taken over. Gwaine spent the next nine years wandering, believing that his friend was dead. Merlin didn't see either of them for another nine years... in Camelot. This is a "Merlin is the lost prince of another kingdom AU," but it's different from the others. Okay, I know that they all say that, but hear me out. Maybe Merlin isn't the only one from a different kingdom? Maybe... I dunno, Gwaine and Lancelot are from that same kingdom? I don't own Merlin!

A warlock hiding in a kingdom that despises him. An unknown Prince hidden even from himself. An elder brother believed dead returns. Merlin's big brother had never lived with him and their mother in Ealdor but he visited twice a year until Merlin was thirteen. He was trained by his brother how to fight with sword, knives (throwing and non), fists, archery, and Magic. He learned how to act as nobles do and how to read and write unlike the other children of the village. His brother told him stories of a kingdom that was lost but one day would be won back. The day Merlin was told of his brother's death he swore to avenge him. Hunith sent Merlin to her friend Gaius in Camelot a few years later. Merlin became the personal manservant to Prince Arthur and used his hidden skills with weapons and Magic to protect him and Camelot from those who sought their destruction. One day King Arthur is greeting an old friend of his when Merlin hears a voice that he has not heard for many years.

this fanfic is a little different than the others. 1) the royals where Merlin is from have a mark on their face that tells their rank people in different places. they can be hidden using magic. 2) King Uther will know of what and who Merlin is because he presents himself before Uther in a private conversation. so I think what I am going to do wit this is to reread the work here and work out any plot/event holes then make a new book that has the improved version of this! Good Prince Merlin AUs are hard to find and I want to make a good one! so thanks to all of my readers here! I thought I would give Jack and Hans a girlfriend for each one because I was sorry they didn't stay with anyone, at the end of the movie and Arthur stayed With Snow White because me. I feel like they have more chemistry. Despite the fact that she slapped him. I hope you like it, because I've been thinking about this story for a while!)
