What would have happened if princess Ariel hadn't married prince Eric? and what if she became evil? The truth can often bring out the worst in people, or change them completely. PS: this is set in modern times PPS: I don't own Disney, or The Little Mermaid, I'm just using some of the characters.

We all know the stories that end in happily ever after, but these all seem rather trivial at the surface level. What if our favorite characters had psychological stresses like each one of us? It's our favorite couple, Ariel/Eric, facing the life ahead of them of being in charge of the kingdom, and eventual task of starting a family. This tells the adventures, troubles & everything in between. Queen Athena's still alive. No crossovers/genderbends, but HEA. All references belong to Disney, and this story is dedicated to the "Little Mermaid" cast, Howard Ashman, and all of the dreamers like me out there, who continue to look for the next adventure.
