In the sequel, Pauline and Daisy join Mario and Luigi to face Bowser Jr who is planning on rescuing his father. Meanwhile, far off in the galaxy, Princess Rosalina is there to help. However, it'll be hard for Daisy to help with her powers fading. Mario, Luigi and Pauline fall into a pipe and end up in a different world. Mario and Pauline end up in the Mushroom Kingdom while Luigi is in the dark lands and meets Princess Daisy.

With Mario thrown out of the picture and into a casket, Peach had given up all hope of rescue. She was doomed to marry her kidnapper and long term stalker, Bowser.
