Waluigi is dragged to the beach by Wario for a blooper surf race against the Mario Brothers. But upon learning that a familiar orange, sun princess is also at the beach getting a tan, the purple-clad villain changes tactics, opting for an opportunity to join Daisy for an interesting tanning session.

Waluigi plans to give a handcrafted gift to Princess Daisy for the next tennis tournament, expecting to surprise her. But the expectation turns for the worse, as Daisy falls gravely ill from an unforeseen force. Now he must team up with Luigi to save her, and stop the great evil that threatens her life - promising to save her no matter what.
