This story takes place in the 1950s‚ about a girl named Clara Rivers. Lately teenagers have been dying and their body's have been found in a unexplainable way. These aren't just random teens. They are known as 'The M.A.R.I.E.S' which stands for the girls last names‚ Maldonado‚ Andrews‚Rivers‚ Ives‚ Eade‚ and‚ Smith. There are only two girls in this friend group who haven't died. Joyce Maldonado (Joyce Byers) and Clara Rivers. Everyone in Hawkins believes Clara is the murderer. A few weeks later Clara is found dead by her brother and once taken to the police they presume her brother murdered her (hence why the Rivers siblings are called murderers). But Clara's body refuses to move on and she wants to help take down the man that killed The M.A.R.I.E.S That's when she meets Eleven.
