Apart from a few first chapters of countless bad fantasy stories I wrote in my youth, this is the first coherent narrative I've ever written (excluding school assignments and even those were, phew..., ten years and more ago). This is also my first English translation. I myself am not a native speaker and this was just another form of writing exercise for me. If you want to help me improve my English skills, please feel free to help me better my grammar and diction. It would mean a lot to me. Even though this story is a detective story, my main focus is on giving the few characters that appear in this narrative their own voices and behaviours. I see this story as an exercise in adopting a point of view that was previously unknown to me - that of the faithful dog Woofsen. I hope you enjoy the characters as much as I enjoyed writing them. He made a name for himself as a private investigator, unable to be a policeman but still comfortable on the side lines, sitting on the line between 'human' and 'monster' but even he had to ask himself the one question, the one question that haunted him. Could he stay that way forever?
