Genie for Hire: A Biff Andromeda Mystery is a private eye novel-with a paranormal twist. An ancient genie in a modern, buff body, Biff can't use his magical powers for his own benefit, so he opens a detective agency in a Miami suburb. A damsel in distress, photographer Sveta Pshkov, hires him to retrieve a stolen set of boudoir photos she took of a Russian mobster's wife-snapped for her boyfriend's pleasure, not her husband's. Biff's investigation uncovers the spreading tentacles of the Russian mafia. The case turns personal when he realizes that the dangerous female genie he has loved and lost over centuries has a desperate stake in the outcome. Joined by his companions, a resusciated squirrel and a magical sylph who takes the form of a butterfly, Biff follows his super-sensitive nose into hidden corners of South Florida and dark regions of human behavior. With his sarcastic wit, his ability to turn into a wisp of vapor, and magic as old as the ages, Biff battles a pack of ruthless criminals - and his own romantic obsession.

Jimmy is a skeleton brought to life by a mad scientist for reasons Jimmy doesn't quite know. For days at a time the skeleton was strapped down to an operating table and left alone. He couldn't talk at the time and there wasn't much to look at except for a television in the laboratory. The television constantly played old noir detective movies like Boghart and Cagney. This is how Jimmy learned to talk. He began to emulate what he was watching on the tv, speaking in a style similar to a hard nosed private eye. Eventually Jimmy escaped after discovering that he was nothing more than a pile of living bones. Of course being a skeleton meant he'd have to hide. He stole a big trench coat, hat, and scarf in order to cover himself. There were so many questions plaguing his mind about what he was, who he was before he was a skeleton, and just what his maker was planning to do with him. That got him thinking, what would Sam Spade do? Living beneath a haberdashery for a while and learning how to sew from watching them eventually The skeleton made a makeshift disguise with gloves , glasses, the scarf, a wig, and a large brimmed hat to hide himself he set out to solve those mysteries himself. He adopted the name Jimmy Bones from his idol Jimmy Cagney and Bones because he was a skeleton. He found out he was rather good at solving petty crimes and the like. He had a knack for deductive reasoning and bad skeleton puns. So, eventually he saved up enough from the small crimes he'd helped solve to have an office space for James Bones Private Eye Oh yeah, his skeleton is imbued with a sort of living shadow that has a variety of uses. Usually it's just an extension of his mind giving life to his thoughts like having the shadow play out a crime scene as he's figuring it out and the like

He makes dumb mistakes so you don't have to. "A great and humorous kids/young teen story with plenty of twists and tension." Entrada Publishing 15-year-old Krista Winnette worries about her dad, Drew. After all, he just lost his job, and Krista's mom just left him. Now all Drew has is a dwindling bank account, a ten-year-old car and a musty motel room he can barely afford. So he does what every unemployed man must do in this desperate situation: He becomes a private eye. Drew knows nothing about being a private eye, but how hard could it be? As he says in his Facebook ad: "You ever wondered how a private eye finds a missing person? Or trails a cheating husband? So have I! So hire me, and I'll figure it out! I'll try stuff the other guys won't even consider - 'cause I don't know any better!" As Drew goes about learning his new job, he finds himself a rather enthusiastic partner - Krista! Together, they investigate the case of a fading movie star who tragically fell to her death on the set. But was it an accident - or did someone take their "creative differences" a little too far? Join our two bumbling private detectives as they constantly scramble to stay afloat and sometimes even to stay alive. The story will keep you guessing right up to the surprise ending! If you like Theodore Boone, The Adventures of Jack Lime or Veronica Mars, you'll love My Dad, the Private Eye. Yeah, that's me. Jack Lovejoy, private eye. Don't judge a book by its cover, just like you don't judge a detective by his name. I've got an office downtown New York- the business is thriving here. Fortunate or unfortunate for me, you tell me. People walk in, they give me a case, I take it or don't. It's pretty simple. These are just a handful of the cases I've solved, all over the city.
