Kayla is always living in her father's shadow in the worst way possible. When she arrives at Hogwarts, by request of Albus Dumbledore, she struggles to gain the approval of her peers and fights the numerous misconceptions about her. All she ever wanted is to have her own identity and to prove that she is not her father. And for the name of good, she will do anything.

Shay is a thirteen year old girl who has been living with her godmother since she was a little girl. In a way she always knew she was special. Strange things have always happened around her and she and her godmother have been moving around constantly since she turned eleven. When they move to a home on Privet Drive, Shay learns that she is a witch. She's sent to Hogwarts where she meets old friends, makes new friends, and is caught in a web of trouble involving her past, her future, and a killer named Sirius Black.
