A new style of poetry.

High school only meant one thing for Kristina Washington: Ignorance, ignorance, and more ignorance. When she's accepted into a school where the ratio of white to colored is 3:1, she already knows what to expect. Comments about her hair, about her lips, and about her speech. But what she wasn't expecting to learn that hate comes in many shapes and forms. She starts to see that there's more to oppression than just the basic racism they taught in middle school. It's because of this Kristina becomes more woke and unfortunately more hated. Author's Note: This book would highlight the many social/racial issues happening in America, as well as the black community. If you are not comfortable with the topic of these issues, and/or the truth in general, DO NOT read this book.

Niyla is senior in college who is soon to graduate, she is very educated, pro blackness and believes that the man that will sweep her off her feet and compliment her melanin is a black man. In fact she is a strong advocate of "keeping calm and loving a black man", but when she meets Evan at a college party who is quite bold about his attraction to her she ends up on the wild, hilarious journey of trying to maintain her love for black men while fighting falling in love with a white man.

𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙞𝙡𝙨. A black girl that has crippling anxiety-but an affinity for poetry finds out that her school is representing themselves in a grand poetry slam hosted by Georgetown University. The problem is, she hasn't found her voice yet. What happens when she meets a boy who sees in her what she has yet to discover and helps her bring it out within herself?

Rachel and her friends are average teenagers. Well at least they were before things started to twist out of control. All they wanted to do was get revenge. They didn't want their friends death to be in vain. Well because of that they're enemies of the state and are about to be serving a death penalty tomorrow for what they did. Who are they now ? What have they become? How did things get so bad? Well they're the Black Panthers, and they're teenage rebels.

The beauty of our women goes unnoticed unless someone else is showcasing it.

If you can not swallow and digest bitter truths than this book isnt for you.

When I was younger a man named Soren Macauley died, in doing so he left behind his Wife Alora Macauley, his son Graham Macauley, and me, his daughter Moné Macauley. Out of all of us, I think my mother has taken his death the hardest. If she isn't burying herself in work then shes barely functional and Graham was only 5 when our dad died so it doesn't impact him as much. My dad was a good man, an innocent man to whom we lost from police brutality. I may have not been able to do anything about it in my past but I'll make sure that I can bring justice to the families who are going through the same thing mine did 9 years ago. I am Moné Macauley, I'm 20 years old and my justice to my father is to become a Civil rights and Police Misconduct Attorney.
