When certain events trigger unknown feelings, will they be able to handle the transition from friends to something more serious? Or will their friendship fade to dust

"Joey." Her voice sounded like a dream, something beautiful that wasn't of this world. This dirty, polluted world. He hated it. Nothing good came from being alive. Sometimes he just wanted to die, but no one would be able to handle another death. The loss of Steez fucked everyone up really badly, and even the thought of losing another so close to them... But nothing good came from being here. "You're in one of your moods again." She says, softly, moving closer to him on the bed. He had begged her to stay with him last night because he was hurt. He was emotionally unstable and she was the only person who could really put up with him. Because she often put up with Steez. She was the closest thing to Steez, so when he left, she broke apart and it took her two years to be put back together. Now she has to put him back together and he felt bad. He didn't want to be so dependent on her but he couldn't help it. She was the only connection to Steez he had left, and he needed that. Maybe that's why he loved her. Maybe it was because he could feel Steez in her.

A story about a very expressive girl and her relationship with Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott. Throw in the death of his close friend, his lingering spirit, the lust for revenge and those who plan to meddle and ruin something that was already close to crumbling, and confusion and things that don't make sense, and voila, you have this story.

In which Joey meets Lourdes "Lori" Deveraux a pretty stern and straightforward woman who doesn't seek relationships or love but only casual and sparks Joey's interest but he finds himself in a tough situation when he develops feelings though that isn't her style.
