Months have passed [since the final chapter of Professor Fear]. It is a new beginning for both Jonathan and Daria. Gotham begins to slowly unveil her hidden rogues and dark knights. "Logan." His breath warmed her top lip with the word. Her name. Something fluttered in her lower stomach. She yearned to hear him saying her name over and over again, until it no longer sounded like one. "Scarecrow." She mirrored and they pressed their foreheads together. "You fucked up." She sighed and let her head fall onto his collarbone. He held her tighter, wrapping around her with both arms now as if letting go meant certain death. "Maybe." He admitted. "But you're mine." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She's vengeful. She's cold blooded. She's ready to put her anger and hatred to use. When Logan's path crosses with Scarecrow, the most notorious villain in the streets of Gotham, it seems she might actually be able to enact her plan for justice against the family that killed her boyfriend. Somehow, someway, she's able to find herself. And him? The criminal that made all of this possible? He just might be the oxygen she's needed in order to truly breathe.

After fleeing Gotham, Jonathan and Daria find themselves experiencing the hospitality of the controversial Lex Luthor. Daria's memories continue to resurface and reveal shocking truths of her former life. Scarecrow is invited to take part in a project which could create something bigger than the toxin cloud that terrorised Gotham. Meanwhile in Gotham, the rest of the rogues evade the wrath of Batman and the GCPD.
