Ryland Grace knew three things at this current moment. Hopefully that would improve. One: he was on a spaceship. Two: he did not know why. His failed return triggers a chain reaction involving unstable Florpus technology, briefly warping local space-time and causing localized dimensional disturbances across nearby star systems. Despite this, Earth survives the Florpus incident, and Zim's actions are quietly contained by forces beyond human awareness. What is not recorded in either history is what happens when these two crises briefly overlap. During a single, unstable period of space-time distortion caused by stupidity, the Hail Mary, the Irken Massive, and an Eridian system research corridor intersect in a shared spatial anomaly-later referred to as The Silence Between Suns.

David Rosenthal was the most brilliant astrophysicist of his generation,until his radical "Spatial Interpretation Theory" turned him into the laughingstock of the scientific community. Today, he's a broke janitor at the very university where he once packed lecture halls to capacity. Hidden away in the basement, he secretly intercepts illegal, cryptic signals from deep space. Simon is found in the tree that somehow ended up on Erid. Grace and Rocky notice Simon mutations and decide to try to help him.

Iouno project Hail Mary and Iron Lung crossover fic ig I will say (and I reiterate in the first chapter as well) that this is NOT a BloodyMary ship; as always while I have nothing against ships of any kind and I don't want to look like a hater or anything it just isn't often my cup of tea. I will say the name BloodyMary is SO COOL THO but anyway ahem yeah here we go As always I have no idea what the cover image should be so I tried to at least be on topic a bit and chose the one attempt at drawing the Eel I made a while ago so yippeee it's not entirely random this time!!
