Maybe being a transgender teenager in a house with 2 moms and a nonbinary sibling wasn't the life he wanted to live. It's cool that he isn't the black sheep of the family. But he is the poison ivy in a field of sunflowers. He doesn't know why though, he does what he is supposed to. So why can't he catch their attention? A story of ASLAN drowning in the loud sound of silence. He wants the chance to rant about how a girl at school hugged him. Or the way he won the spelling bee for the 3rd time these past 2 semesters. But his family doesn't want to hear it.

Joshua hated Cheol for being so annoying and always try to hold his hand, for giving him the sweetest of smiles and the warmest of hugs out of the blue, for always remembering what his coffee order was, how he liked his sandwiches and his favorite flowers, for watching thriller films with him even if he said they were boring and he hated himself for falling in love with all of it.
