shadoIn the small, sleepy town of Sargam, Ayaush Jain, an ordinary school teacher, lives a quiet life. But everything changes the night he notices an unusual flicker of light in a seemingly abandoned house next door. Curiosity pulls him in, and what he uncovers sets off a chain of events that unravels the dark, hidden secrets of his own family's past. Ayaush finds a dusty photograph from 20 years ago showing a younger version of himself standing next to a man he doesn't recognize. Upon investigation, he realizes that the man in the photo is his father, Ashok Jain, who mysteriously disappeared when Ayaush was a child. The search for the truth leads Ayaush to an abandoned factory on the outskirts of town-Vijaygarh Mills-where his father once worked on a top-secret government project known as Project Shadow. As Ayaush delves deeper into his father's involvement in the project, he uncovers a chilling truth: Project Shadow was an experimental program to separate human shadows and bind them to another reality. But something went terribly wrong. The shadows, meant to be harmless, gained consciousness and began seeking freedom. Ayaush's father had been trying to stop the project when he disappeared. Now, Ayaush finds himself pursued by a dark version of his own shadow-one that harbors the memories and vengeful desires of the past. As the shadow begins to take control of his actions, Ayaush realizes that to survive, he must confront his own darkest fears and accept the shadow that has haunted him all his life. With the truth about his father's disappearance within his grasp, Ayush faces a final, terrifying choice: destroy the shadow once and for all, or allow it to take over, completing its journey of vengeance.

Sonic and Shadow have a secret that not even their closest friends know. They were experiments from the Ark. They were meant to be used for research purposes on hybrids, but they were deemed failures when one went missing and the other developed strange abilities. Things were going array with the project and an accident occurred in the Ark. Sending the ship plummeting in space trapped in an endless grave. Thankfully, due to the experiment's abilities they were able to adapt. Together, their learning to adapt to the world and act like normal-ish hedgehogs. Through this journey they'll pick up some friends, who become suspicious with recent events. Chaos runs rapid, and these friends are trying to get answers. The description contains events from both volume one and two. --------- This is a rewrite of my book "Keeping The Secret Alive" as my writings evolved and progressed over the years, I grew extremely unsatisfactory with my previous works. I decided to redo them, not only for better writing but for better flow of the plot --------------- This story was inspired by "Project: Hedgehog" by Sonikku293 on Wattpad. --------------- I do not own any of the characters in this story besides the doctors and named sea creatures, such as Dr Halenta or the Doctors who were against the Experiments and torture.
