To̅mi Andrei - better known as Plasmasonic - is invited to compete in the Skyspire Circuit, one of the most intense hoverboard racing events ever conceived, held on Skyripper Mountain. The invitation comes from her friend Lorelei Feathercloud, who suspects something deeply wrong with the racers selected for the competition. The racers aren't just ambitious - they're vicious, unstable, and driven by unexplained hostility, as if something is pushing them beyond ordinary rivalry, and it seems too normal. Behind the glittering spectacle stands the enigmatic tech magnate Elara Thistletwaite, the benefactor supplying the experimental hoverboard technology making the Circuit possible. I figured the writers were going to ruin something about the Fortress of Solitude, so I took matters into my own hands.
