This fanfiction takes place in Aetherreal, an alternate version of the world of Strangereal where the events, nations, characters, and technology of both Ace Combat and Project Wingman have always existed as part of the same history. The story begins during the events of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, following Trigger, the Osean Air Defense Force (OADF), and countless pilots caught in the chaos of the Lighthouse War. However, unlike the original Ace Combat timeline, mercenary organizations, nations, aircraft programs, and legendary pilots from Project Wingman are fully integrated into the world's history. This is not a multiverse crossover. There are no alternate dimensions or parallel worlds. Instead, Aetherreal is a reimagined continuity where both franchises naturally coexist within a single shared setting. While the story starts during the Lighthouse War, it will expand far beyond the events of Ace Combat 7. As old rivalries fade and new powers emerge, the world enters a new era of aerial warfare. Future conflicts, original wars, political crises, and technological revolutions will shape the decades that follow. While Aetherreal shares much of its early history with the original Ace Combat timeline, its future diverges significantly after the events of Ace Combat 7. The corporate conflicts, political landscape, and technological developments depicted in Ace Combat 3 do not occur in this continuity. Instead, the world follows its own path, shaped by new wars, emerging powers, mercenary organizations, and the actions of legendary aces. Future events may draw inspiration from Ace Combat 8 and other entries in the series, but they are reinterpreted as part of Aetherreal's Expect realistic military terminology, radio communications, squadron designations, operational briefings, and air combat doctrine inspired by modern military aviation and the Ace Combat franchise. This is a Ace combat x Project Wingman and Top Gun crossover story which all three are set in the same universe. First the events of Top Gun happens then Ulysses, later Maverick and finally the Lighthouse War. The prologue will begin with Top gun and Maverick, and then Ace Combat 7's story. This story is inspired by Project Wyvern, a Ace Combat and Project wingman fanfic by Echo 1608. Which some elements will be included from it just a little. In not my first and hopefully the last fanfiction I ever make, I've decided to rewrite King of the High Seas, an old story that was discontinued due to my lack of motivation. Now I'm back, and a better writer, and hopefully will be able to do more this time around. Yes, this story is fanfiction. I'm kind of ashamed of that. But, I believe it's higher quality than typical fanfiction. It's been about a year since the Presidian Disaster and Monarch's duel with Crimson 1. Cascadia is rebuilding, and the Federation is in shambles as other states staged uprisings of their own, made easy by the Federation's lack of resources after pouring them all into the Cascadian Independence War. After receiving a contract from the Republic of Magadan, one of the newly independent nations, Sicario heads to a deep sea testing rig. Icarus Armories is causing a commotion, and Magadan wants them shut down. However, clear skies is all but what awaits them. Sector D2 owns Project Wingman. This is not about Hitman Squad.... But a relatively new team established for Sicario's Far eAstern Branch: Scarlet Team. A four-plane group using the F-15Js, they were busy raiding the Federation Naval Base in Oceania, before they were sent somewhere else...

A nation in calamity. A obsessed pilot dead. A king frighten by what he sees below. Even in the darkest worlds there is light.

"Everyone's heard of Sicario out here. The mercenary group that was hired by Cascadia to fight the Federation during their war for independence. Hell, half the Periphery signed up when their leader came looking for backup after the Ring of Fire ignited." Leading up to Cascadia's final push towards Presidia news had spread around that the Sicario mercenary group was looking for all able-bodied pilots in the Periphery. Many answered the call, having heard the rumors that the Federation was on their last legs in the region. "Half my squadron signed right up! Broke their contracts and flew north. Those of us who stayed cheered when the ceasefire was called. But..." Many of those who flew to Cascadia never returned. Either downed during the Siege of Presidia or Crimson 1s attack thereafter. Those left in the Periphery didn't have the numbers to maintain their contracts. The Jobs suddenly too dangerous for the pilots to take on. Many flew north, looking for work with those rebuilding Cascadia. Some sought revenge on the Federation. Comet Squadron was hit especially hard by the battle of Presidia. Unable to live off contracts they are pushed ever closer to becoming the privateers they've been fighting. The battle is over. Crimson 1 has been shot down. The fight for Cascadia is winding down as the ceasefire enters into effect. Hitman 1's WSO, Robin Kuo (callsign "President" or just "Prez") is unaware of all of this, as she had passed out shortly after Crimson 1 cordium-bombed Presidia. Hitman-1 dubbed Monarch was shot down by Crimson-1 but not before Crimson one blew right past him and unleashing a stream of 20mm into his planes engines blowing both of them to pieces. After beating The Pilot Gauntlet in first place, a Titanfall 2 Northstar main gets flung into the story of Avatar: The Last Airbender by the Advocate. Inspired by jerejosh231's "Standby for Titanfall RWBY!" Avatar and Titanfall are owned by their respective owners, my Oc/s are of my own design however... This is now being done on a laptop so there should be fewer spelling errors. Other reworks and fics are being done in the meantime.
