When Jace dumps a young warlock apprentice she decides to teach him a lesson he will NEVER forget! Unfortunately, Jace isn't the one who pays the price-Alec is as usual! The young warlock turns Alec into a child instead of Jace and honestly Magnus isn't impressed.

She had Simon the High Warlock of Brooklyn erase Alec's memories of the Shadow world, but doesn't keep it from Izzy and Max so she can train them to protect Alec. Maryse's plan worked and Alec lives a happy life free from the Shadow world, but everything goes wrong when Robert finds Alec.

Alec falls for Magnus but is too nervous to ask him out. When Magnus doesn't Alec fears he loves someone else. Jonathan is furious that Alec won't resume their relationship and out of spite Jonathan tells the world Alec's secret forcing him to go on the run. Magnus will do anything to protect his omega so goes on the run with Alec. But being on the run is harder than he thought it would be and it puts a strain on their relationship.

When Jace proposes to Simon, Alec is heartbroken as he was in love with Jace. Izzy wants to help Alec move on by dragging him out to a night of haaave you met Alec? Alec thinks he can never move on, but that changes when he meets Magnus Bane. Izzy has only ever been interested in flings and one night stands, but when Simon brings Clary into the group Izzy finds herself questioning her beliefs about love. Jace and Simon go through the stresses and joys of being engaged. Meanwhile Alec's abusive ex Jonathan wants Alec back and will do anything to get Alec.

Simon's life completely changes when his abusive ex-girlfriend Camille sends him the Intersect. Simon struggles to deal with his past, but finds hope when he and Jace fall for each other. Simon and Jace start a relationship, but when Simon discovers that Jace was lying about who he is and is actually a spy after the intersect Simon's life is in danger. Simon joins CIA and NSA agents Jace, Izzy, Raphael and Alec for protection and to help them with missions. Meanwhile Alec has to deal with nearly everyone believing he is a traitor even though he is innocent, causing them to treat him terribly. However Simon believes Alec is innocent and is determined to prove it.
