A girl decides to face her fear of the ocean and go scuba diving with her brother on his boat. What she finds upon entering the water however is scarier than what she imagined. This is my entry to the #planetorplastic contest

Have you ever stopped to hear the cries of the Ocean? To feel her anguish at the suffering of her children? Just because something doesn't speak our tongue doesn't mean it isn't sentient. The Ocean too has her own thoughts and emotions and only wants the best for her precious and beloved children. A #PlasticOrPlanet Short Story specially written for the National Geographic Writing Competition in hopes of raising awareness on the importance of environmetal friendliness.

Environmental problems. Political interest. Personal benefits. Opportunity costs. Clashes and conflicts will inevitably occur when there is a clash of interests. These are perhaps the reasons why plastics still continue to be overused and will likely continue to be overused unless something drastic occurs. A #PlanetOrPlastic short story specially written for the National Geographic Writing Competition in hopes of raising environmental awareness and the need to push for environmentally friendly governmental polices. No longer can we stand divided as left right or right wing, democratic or republican, conservative or liberal. We must unite to face this common threat to Earth. Division will only cause inefficiency and inadequacy. We must unite and push for change because change starts with us.

Sabrina takes her daughter, Cassandra every year to the ocean to watch the sea turtles hatch. One day, they spotted nothing, making Cassandra really sad. Sabrina decided to make her daughter happy by diving into the ocean themselves and explored. Both mother and daughter were excited about the exploration, but what they witness is not what was expected... #PlanetOrPlastic Something must be done before it's too late...

The life of the ocean is in our hands. WE have caused the death of ocean life. WE have caused this plastic pollution crisis. And only WE can fix it
