Countries are disappearing and no one knows why or who is responsible. This story follows America as her friends and family begin to disappear while she tries to find a way to help them. !Tentatively undergoing a rewrite, but don't hold your breath!

The theory of the existence of the multiverse is true, albeit with significant reservations. There is an infinite number of other worlds, infinitely different and infinitely similar to each other. The intelligent inhabitants of the vast majority of them can only speculate about the true nature of things, which will never be confirmed or disproved by anyone. But still, there is one world in which the question of the existence of God, the nature of all things, the acquisition of infinite power, immortality and the meaning of existence are not a mystery behind seven seals. Except that it doesn't seem to stand out radically from all the others because of this. After all, one question, much more important than all of the above, cannot be answered here. One rule works in this world as much as it does outside of it. One problem he shares with the rest of the multiverse. And while not everyone is happy with it, few will dare to fix it.

Quebec internally screamed as he shook hands with the American nation in front of him. He smiled widely and tried to hide his rising panic. He could feel Ontario's eyes burn into the back of his head, trying to figure out why he was freaking out. Breathe in, breathe out. "I'm Jacques, by the way. Jacques Durand." He let go of the other's hand, the nation's hand and fought to keep the relaxed grin on his face. The nation's eyes twinkled and he laughed. "Hiya Jacques, I'm Alfred! Alfred F. Jones! Nice to meet you!" Quebec felt his stomach sink and contract as America stood there and laughed, unaware that he was close to one of the world's most closeted secrets. Quebec bit his tongue and let the sharp pain keep him from screaming aloud. Instead, he replied back, "Nice to meet you too."

Set in 2179, Earth has been united since 2100 under the social democratic planetary federation of Earth known as the United Provinces or simply the UP and was formed in the year 2100 at the dawn of the 22nd century.

Matthew and Alfred once again arrive late to a meeting. But something's off; Alfred is less boisterous than usual and Matthew is swearing constantly. In an attempt to find out what has gotten into the two enigmatic North Americans, the rest of the G-8 members* end up uncovering more than a few secrets (and secrets of those secrets) America and Canada have been hiding for centuries.
