Léopold Montagne is an urbane and cunning young real estate magnate who has grown accustomed to the hustle and bustle of city life in Revès. When he purchases ownership of a small pastoral county in southern Fallet, intent on gentrifying the community into a business hub, he finds himself placed squarely in the middle of an international conflict.
