Evelyn Woods has lost everyone she has ever loved, except her little brother Benjamin. The fact that one day she will be the only one he has to depend on is the only thing that keeps her going – the only thing that keeps her alive. But to go from school to her part-time job and back to her foster parents’ home only to repeat it all again day after day was exhausting; all Evelyn wanted was a break, temporary or permanent. Soon, things between Evelyn and the boys take a bad turn when they begin asking for things that she can’t – or won’t – give, and even her temporary breaks are taken away. Meanwhile, a strange man has been following her everywhere she goes: school, grocery stores, gas stations, even her foster parents’ home. When Evelyn finally gets the courage to speak up about her mysterious stalker, she is deemed crazy; no one else has ever seen him. With all signs pointing at complete lunacy, Evelyn abandons everything, even little Benjamin, for her permanent break. But what happens when she’s given a second chance?

so. this is my life. some of its true, and some.of its not.

Lia is a sixteen year old teenage girl who has struggled with anxiety and depression her entire life. She's been in and out of hospitals and treatment centers since she was thirteen for her suicidal thoughts and idealizations, but nothing seems to help her. Currently, she's going through an intensive six week hospitalization at a mental hospital after a drunken suicide attempt in her room weeks prior. Lia feels stuck, lost, and has gotten all too comfortable in a hospital setting. She has to make a choice; keep going the way she's going or do something to change it.
