This is inspired by two people I saw over two weekends (both redheads, as it happens. Maybe I have a thing), doing things I love in life. Admittedly I wrote most of this while listening to the second one sing - seriously great gig, I still feel a little bad for stepping into my own thoughts during it... 13 October 2018

One kiss can change everything

One writer takes his obsession with names too far and it almost costs a man his life. A man named Prufrock.

With a new year at Prufrock Preparatory comes a new and more realistic principal with more requirements. One of these requirements is for every student to be apart of at least one recreational activity. When Violet doesn't join a group before the required time, she's paired with another boy (Duncan) that also didn't choose one in time to create their own club. Along with that, Violet's new roommate is becoming very suspicious and leads Violet to think she isn't really at Prufrock to learn but instead is out for her and her family. ~Updates on Wednesdays~ ~Banners and cover made by me/@mmermmermmer~

An evening spent lying next to an adored friend, and the infinite distance between one's mind and one's body

ASOUE Dunclet & Kladora AU The Prufrock Prepratory Junior trip to Disney World. The most exciting thing to happen to the school. Unfortunately, it's almost over for this year's trip. But maybe not for everyone... The plane leaves in 15 minutes, and Isadora Quagmire has to use the restroom. But then the Buddy System strikes. Klaus Baudelaire is paired with Isadora and has to leave with her. Complications turn into another Complication, and eventually Violet Baudelaire and Duncan Quagmire must join the group. Eventually, everything gets resolved and the four arrive back to the gate. But when they arrive, the plane has already left for their school back in Seattle, Washington: With ridiculous rules of them not being allowed to fly back alone, they'll have to find another way home. Now, with no other choice, they must endure a long, difficult, and adventurous journey. Their previous troubles become the least of their worries. But, with 3,028 miles with almost no adult supervision ahead of them, these 4 students' lives will change forever. This is my final literary analysis paper for college English. It's about T. S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock." Last year I wrote this for my Honors Literature course. During our poetry unit, we read the Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock along with many different poems. We were told to pick one and write a story of what events would occur afterwards or what happened before the poem or any other loose adaption of the poem. I got a 100 on this assignment. Many writers have pondered where T. S. Eliot got the idea for the Love Song and who exactly J. Alfred Prufrock was. Some have even stated that Alfred is an alter ego to Eliot or some hidden side of himself he never showed. I took that into perspective. In this story, our main character, T. S. Eliot, fights against his depression and must make a decision between life and death, love and hate, sadness and happiness. I suggest reading the original poem before reading this one, so you can see the references to his poetic style.

As her home burned down around her Alice Baudelaire barely made it out alive. She hasn't seen her sisters and twin brother outside of newspaper pages in weeks. She isn't even sure they know she survived. But the day they reunite isn't coming yet, because a certain banker decides to use her as his guinea pig to test out a possible future for orphan accommodations.

"That's not important right now. What's important is finding that book so we can figure out what Olaf's plan is." She said getting out of her seat. "If I don't, then we could all be in terrible danger." "I know that's important Violet, but you're important too." Isadora said, taking the taller girl's hand in hers. "We can always keep looking later. Or you can rest and I can keep looking, you don't have to find it right now." "Yes I do." Violet told her. "I promised I would." Or Violet is stressed about finding out what Olaf's plan is, and keeping her siblings out of danger. Isadora helps to calm her down. (Cover credit: @peppermelons on instagram.)

Dear reader, If you have stumbled upon this book and are hoping for a fun prequel to the tragic lives of the Baudelaire orphans full of love and friendship, you are sorely mistaken. This early tale is no less hurtful nor unfortunate than the books you know, hate, and hopefully avoid. Therefore if you deny my advice and read on, you will encounter such tragedies as a familiar sorrowful school, the murder of a much-loved teenager, detention, a piano and the true origin of a divided organisation. My job, however, is to research these horrible villains and their childish childhood antics, so I am burdened with the task of writing it down. So I beg of you, please don't read this. Just look away. You'll come to regret not doing so.
