This story navigates through the life of Kinza as she starts off her journey after graduating from medical school. Her intern year (also known as house job) takes place in one of the biggest hospitals in Karachi; a hospital that has been there for decades. Beneath the surface, there is much more going on than Kinza anticipated.

I know that I should run away, now that I have the chance to. I ran away so many times and he kept getting me back here. He isn't going to let me go. I don't even want to go now. Im not terrified of him anymore. He got his venom in my veins and I love how it feels. He is slowly driving me insane, manipulating my thoughts. He wanted me to love him, to be mentally obsessed with him, and he got what he wanted. I should've known that I can't win this game, but everyone loves to play with fire, but I just got burned.

There was something fragile in her mismatched eyes. I couldn't place it, but something hid there, just below the surface. She stared at me, voice crumbling and lost and oh so fucking beautiful. "You can't be with me, Isaac." I stepped closer. She was right. There was so much wrong with both of us. We were destined to fall apart; it was only a matter of when. "I know. I'm a mistake, you're a disaster." "Yeah." Her hair was falling in front of her eyes again, covering the tiny flecks and the little scar under her left eyebrow. My fingers yearned to touch it. "I'll ruin you." "Let's ruin eachother." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For Isaac Darlings, the only relief in life seemed to be drugs. Living with anger issues and no goals, an excstacy overdose lands him in multiple hospital visits and forces him to see a psyciatrist, who in turn suggests he joins a support group, and after much persuasion he agrees. Via Hale is, in no accounts, normal. Hopelessly depressed and sufferer of recurring nightmares, there is little hope to her life, even in the day time. The trauma of past events in her life makes her difficult to befriend, unstable to talk to. Perhaps that is why her therapist forces her to attend a support group, wanting her to branch out. While at the hospital, Sammy becomes friends with Dylan and Elin who make him realise how lucky he is that he didn't make the jump of the bridge after they show him the best parts about life including advenutures and romance.

From age three to thirteen, Liz Coleman had learned to trust and adore her lifetime friend, Zero Dominus, who also happens to not only be six years older than her but is also the religiously prophesied anti-Christ. That same year, Zero grew exceedingly jealous of Liz's love interest, Nawaf, who returned her affections. His anger opened a fiery wound in the Earth: A portal to Hell. Eventually, Liz and her friends, Nawaf and Hope, escaped from Hell, leaving Zero behind unintentionally. A year later, while everyone else on Earth fails to recall any kind of paranormal memories, Liz finds herself without the ability to eat, sleep, or focus due to the memories of watching her best friend be consumed by the fires of Hell. She is engulfed in guilt and depression until discovering Zero's soul taking possession of a dead man by the name of Leo. Once he confessed his identity, expecting rejection, Liz took him back home, hoping life would continue as it did before Hell intervened. That is surely not the case. Zero is still trapped inside the body of Leo and Liz still suffers from the recollections of eternally dying spirits and nearly losing her best friend forever, who she is believing to be falling in love with. In the midst of trying to figure out whether to abandon their feelings for each other or succumb to desire, Liz, Zero, and their friends Hope, Nawaf, and DJ are all abducted by the FBI for paranormal suspicions that may connect to the fall of society. Zero is targeted while Liz is interrogated. All are isolated and focused on like ants in an Ant Farm. Zero admits defeat to a fate behind bars rather than a fate in Hell, but Liz refuses defeat. She conflicts between two desires, and will finally begin to realize how to overcome her demons and Zero's.

In every school, there's that one kid who's lost in their own world. In Hale high, it's no different. She walks alone but never seems to mind. Never trying to make friends and talking only when talked to, she's made a world that she never wants to get out of. She's happy in that place, where she doesn't have to care about anything going on around her. When someone decides to drag her back to the real world, she must to the one thing she dreaded for years. This is a personal story about my younger brother, Sammy, and the journey our family has been through with mental illness. He was always full of life, funny, and kind, and losing that side of him was heartbreaking. I'm sharing this story to honor him, to show that mental illness doesn't erase the love, the memories, or the person underneath it all. I hope it resonates with anyone who's struggled themselves, or with someone they love.
