In this original episodic, twelve volunteers for a clinical trial find themselves in for far more than what they signed up for. Trapped in a facility known as the Rat Cage, the patients must pull together and overcome obstacles in order to survive. Only thing is, not all are team players, and not everyone is allowed to leave.

Although Courtney's days in the psyche ward were not ones she would choose to remember, she did enjoy the quiet friendship she made with the other patients. this au total drama never took place. This talks heavily about many triggering topics so I will include trigger warnings above every chapter.

Maris Winters is just an average girl living in the 1950s . Her father was a pilot in WWII, and her mother... well, let's just say she's interesting. When an emotional breakdown at school triggers MORE hallucinations, depression, and worried parents, Maris goes through a avalanche of emotions and thoughts. Her world is literally turned on its head, and she doesn't know what to do. Cutting won't work, burning won't work. The constant stream of pills she takes won't work. So when she finally attempts suicide, fails, and is put in a psych ward, will the hallucinations be her guide to freedom?
