This is a personal story about my younger brother, Sammy, and the journey our family has been through with mental illness. He was always full of life, funny, and kind, and losing that side of him was heartbreaking. I'm sharing this story to honor him, to show that mental illness doesn't erase the love, the memories, or the person underneath it all. I hope it resonates with anyone who's struggled themselves, or with someone they love.
