Evolutionary promises were brought to the world; the world descended into madness instead. Dr. Isla Hart helped create the Cerebrus virus-a test neural enhancer intended to unleash human potential. Some failure was achieved. Rather than open minds, the virus ravaged them by linking all the infected into a ravenous hive mind. The outcome was the breakdown of society as Isla cowers in fear of her monster. He is joined by her in this mission by Nate Carter, a widowed firefighter who has lost everything and now has nothing left to lose. Isla will have to work out how to defeat the virus before humanity can be taken into it. However, while scouring the city for the location of the cryptic signal coming from the ruins, they learn something far worse: evolution is taking place in the hive mind. The infected are coalescing, they are evolving.they are stalking. With time growing short and an ever more turbulent world losing what little order it had, Isla is presented with the impossible decision-to annihilate the virus no matter the cost or risk everything to rescue those still held within it. For in a world where your thoughts are not your own, madness may be the only survival.

"I've seen worse... on TV." You were driving on an empty road. Another dead-end road, narrow, sharp lanes, fallen trees, rocks. You practically had to drag the fallen trees in the middle of the road and pick up the rocks. You walked back to your car, hopped on the driver seat, and drove. To where? You don't know exactly. You just wanted to leave your place behind. A TV on the side of the road can be seen from your outside window. You stopped the car, parked right in front of the TV, and jumped out of your car, looking at the TV. You just wanted a good look at it. It was too enchanting to take your eyes away from. But you got too close.

All characters belong to me. This is something I wrote for my English class years ago, I'm sorry for any spelling or grammatical errors I've made. I was like, 16 when I wrote this short story. Forgive me Basically it's about a girl who loses her mind, kills everyone and then tries bringing her lover back from the dead. Things go horribly and yeah, it's better if you just read it.
