The series takes place in the near future, when it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person's state of mind and personality. This information is recorded and processed, and the term "Psycho-Pass" refers to a standard used to measure an individual's being. The story centers around the "enforcement officer" Shinya Kougami, who is tasked with managing crime in such a world. In the future, it is possible to quantitatively measure a person's emotions, desires, and every inclination. In this way, it is also possible to measure a person's criminal tendency factor, which is used to judge criminals. This is the story of a team of policemen dedicated to maintaining public order. Some of them work in the Enforcement Division, responsible for the apprehension of criminals, while others belong to the Supervisory Division which oversees their colleagues in Enforcement. But what happens when an Investigator falls in love with an enforcer? How will this forbidden romance play out? Or is Kogami too far gone to ever love someone? In a world in which you're judged by your Psycho-Pass, whom do you believe? A machine or a person? When you started working for the MWPSB you had a very clear goal in mind, live a normal life and don't arouse suspicion. But once you started working with enforcers, one in particular changed everything. If for better or for worse, you didn't know yet. Before this you had never heard of latent criminals working as 'enforcers' and you definitely never thought you could fall in love with one so easily. Especially with Criminals seemingly popping up everywhere. (I don't own Psycho Pass or any of the characters (and some of the dialog is also from the series) , it's also my very first story so please comment on how I could improve my writing. Enjoy!)

Akcja ma miejsce w przyszłości, w samowystarczalnej Japonii, odciętej od reszty świata, kierowanej przez Sybill - system komputerowy potrafiący przeskanować człowieka, analizując jego talenty, słabości, a nawet skłonność do popełnienia przestępstwa. Główna bohaterka, Roa Onoue Ren, po ukończeniu szkoły i zdaniu egzaminów z najwyższą możliwą notą zostaje przydzielona do specjalnej jednostki policji zajmującej się prewencją - eksterminacją ludzi, których psycho-pass przekroczył bezpieczną granicę. Wymaga się od niej bezwzględnego posłuszeństwa i żelaznych ideałów, na których szczycie oczywiście musi stać stworzony przez Sybill porządek, w którym ludzi dzieli się na tych z czystym i tych z zamglonym pass'em. Pierwsi mają dostęp do wszystkich dóbr, rozrywek i praw, natomiast drudzy, nawet jeśli nigdy jeszcze nie popełnili żadnego przestępstwa, skazani zostają na ośrodek resocjalizacyjny lub śmierć - w zależności od osądu panującego Sybill.
