She isnt broken. Not falling apart. Just slightly removed from everything that is supposed to feel real.
Her friends notice the distance, even if they cannot name it. Her life continues anyway messages, conversations, laughter in the right places. She learns how to perform being present well enough that no one asks too many questions.
But inside, there are gaps. Moments where time doesn't connect properly. Reflections that feel unfamiliar. Thoughts that arrive without permission and leave without explanation.
And then there is him. Not someone who saves her. Not someone who understands her. Just someone who exists in a way that feels steady enough to notice.
As her perception of reality begins to fracture in ways she cannot fully describe, she tries to fit in to normal life friends, routine, silence, anything that still responds to her.
But some experiences do not ask to be understood. They only ask to be endured. And not everything that feels like it is disappearing was ever fully there to begin with.
