اقتصاد چیست؟ اقتصاد علم مطالعه رفتارهای اقتصادی انسان است و این رفتارها عبارت است از چگونگی استفاده افراد از منابع در دسترس خود، تا خدمات و کالاهای خود را تولید کنند. بشر تمایل دارد راهی را انتخاب کند که با صرف کمترین هزینه و تلاش به بهترین نتیجه با بالاترین کارایی برسد. در نتیجه اقتصاد یک علم طبیعی نیست. بلکه شامل اصول و قواعد است. از دیدگاه افراد مختلف اقتصاد معانی متفاوتی دارد که در ذیل به بعضی از آن‎ها اشاره می‎کنیم. ارسطو: اقتصاد یعنی مدیریت خانه آدام اسمیت: اقتصاد علم بررسی ماهیت و علل ثروت ملل مختلف است. استوارت میل: اقتصاد بررسی ماهیت ثروت از طریق قوانین تولید و توزیع است. ریکاردو: اقتصاد علم است. آلفردمارشال: اقتصاد مطالعه بشر در زندگی شغلی است. محصولات و خدمات محصولات به هر چیزی گفته می‎شود. که یک خواسته یا نیاز را بر طرف کند. محصولات می‎توانند محسوس باشند مثل ابزار یا ماشین آلات و یا نامحسوس باشند مثل تحصیلات، که در این صورت خدمات نامیده می‎شوند، اما در علم اقتصاد محصولات و خدمات با هم به کار برده می‎شوند. منابع منابع می‎توانند به صورت زمین، کار، سرمایه و کار آفرینی طبقه‎بندی شوند. زمین به معنای، خود زمین است و یا هر چیزی که روی آن چیزی رشد می‎کند یا می‎توان از آن بهره‎برداری کرد،
