Rote Idlers' Palimpsest chronicles their cross-country adventures, wherein they encounter allies, enemies, (love interests and lunatics) accomplices, and characters arguably more detached and deranged than they themselves. In the end they grow to suspect an elevated level of the esoteric runs the elaborate and eclectic lines of their family lineage, yielding some, but not all answers as to the cataclysmic deaths that set their initial journey in motion.
