Spelling, punctuation, and grammar - the bane of many a writer's existence. They're so basic and so complicated, and they can make the difference between a good story and a great story. Why do there have to be so many rules? Why are there so many exceptions to the rules? Why do we even care? Answers: English is weird. And we are writers. In this book, I will attempt to demystify the mystifying and share what I've learned about this often painful subject, along with other tips and tricks I've picked up along my writing journey. I am by no means an expert, but hopefully, I can help a little. And if something I say is wrong or could be stated better, by all means, let me know. We're all stuck in this ocean of mismatched letters and punctuation marks together. Credit for the title goes to @Agustwinter, who has vowed to conquer the monster and get a higher score. For all you amateur writers on Wattpad that want to write a smashing book. Here are the top tips. There are four different sections in here: PLOT - anything incredibly relevant to a book. The backbone. Everything that, usually, you always need. LANGUAGE - here covers common grammatical errors, punctuation, vocabulary etc. HOW TO - this is broad range of things, idea, facts that may be relevant to your story e.g. guns, representation, romanticism etc. AU/WRITING PROMPT - these two sections cover ideas, settings, dialogues that may kickstart your writing process. This is a collection of advice I have found online and my own advice. Feel free to comment anything you want to see or find out!

This book is a guide to writing for upcoming authors and those wanting to learn how to write! I have been asked for advice on how to write many times over my years on Wattpad, so I thought I'd perhaps create a guide to help anyone who's struggling and hope it will be of use. I don't claim to be a know-it-all about writing, I do make mistakes like everyone but a lot of people have sought me out for assistance so I like to think I'm alright at the craft! Anyway, I hope this helps anyone who's struggling with writing, or simply wants to learn the basics of story-writing!

Why is proofreading and editing your work important? 1. You want to make sure your work is polished and easy to read. 2. Your readers may give up on reading if there are too many errors. 3. You become confident that your work communicates the idea you want it to. I do not work for free like most people here do because I want commitment from the writer as well and to enforce the weight and seriousness of actually producing a quality book. Don't worry! My rates are reasonable and we can discuss first to see if we're a good fit for each other. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 private message 𝙤𝙧 email. PLEASE READ ALL CHAPTERS FIRST!

Another sonnet (I can't really do the iambic pentameter) So basically, I am a grammar nazi! Recently, my friends have been getting a bit annoyed with me because when they ask me to read something they wrote, I'll end up correcting their grammar. I do it politely! I really don't want to be a bother but they still get mad anyway. Now, I love reading fan-fictions, OC writing, creepypastas, etc. but I really can't stand all the really obvious grammatical errors! I try not to be nit-picky but sometimes I just have to point them out! Please, do not hate me! If I correct your stuff it just means that I liked it enough to care. I just want it to be right. I'm not trying to kill your creativity or anything! By the way, I'm not perfect either. If you see something wrong with my spelling/grammar, tell me politely. DO NOT be a dick because I don't like those kinds of Grammar Nazis! Oh, random note here. I've been seeing that meme about the OCD letters being in alphabetical order. Very cute, but incorrect. If it was CDO, it would be an acronym for Complusive Disorder Obsessive. That is incorrect grammar. Sorry, couldn't help myself! Everybody hates the Grammar Nazi
