This is not a professionally written book of a million and one things to do and not do when writing. This is my small book of easy tips and tricks which you can decide to use or ignore. Things that may be mentioned are... - Mistakes some authors make and how to fix them. - Story ideas to kick start new writers. - Introducing a character properly (meaning how to not list every detail about them in a boring paragraph but instead weaving it into the story, slowly building up an image of the person.) - Advise on how to create your own covers and my own covers as examples, although mine aren't amazing, I hope they're decent. - The devil of the writer's world that is writer's block. And much more! I've seen a few of these and decided I should do one and update when I have writers block on my own stories. I'm not an amazing writer but I think it's good to share your knowledge of writing with others as we all want to improve our writing in some way. I hope some of you learn something from this even if it is only one thing. Enjoy!

For all you amateur writers on Wattpad that want to write a smashing book. Here are the top tips. There are four different sections in here: PLOT - anything incredibly relevant to a book. The backbone. Everything that, usually, you always need. LANGUAGE - here covers common grammatical errors, punctuation, vocabulary etc. HOW TO - this is broad range of things, idea, facts that may be relevant to your story e.g. guns, representation, romanticism etc. AU/WRITING PROMPT - these two sections cover ideas, settings, dialogues that may kickstart your writing process. This is a collection of advice I have found online and my own advice. Feel free to comment anything you want to see or find out!

My qualifications for writing this book: I achieved a score of 34 (out of 36) on the English portion of my ACT. The National average for the English portion is about 20.3 out of 36. I think those statistics speak for themselves. I also completed the Advanced Placement course for Language and Composition with an exam score of 4 (out of 5) and my essays typically scored a 7 or 8 out of 9, in class. As I've noticed by reading, a lot (alot is not a word) of Wattpad writers misspell, misuse and misinterpret words and writing tools. This book is a guide for anyone who isn't sure of how to word, spell or use something in their writing. This is partially directed at the writers of the stories I read. This book was meant to have no intention of coming off as rude or smart-alecky, it's just meant as a guide and a suggestion book, because, let's be honest, if something is missing punctuation, correct spelling or correct grammar, it makes the good story hard to read. By the way: the sentence on the cover reads, "You're going over there because the bag they have is yours and not theirs and they're not going to be home tomorrow." If you didn't catch on, it properly uses the homophones 'your', 'you're', 'there', 'their' and 'they're'.

This is just what I did for my school English homework so you don't have to read it if you don't want to. It contains Speeches, Punctuation type homework, and a Short story. If you wanna use them for your own work then go ahead but the narratives in the detail that I've given them won't get you very high marks so you will have to edit them.

Do you need help with punctuation? Are you worried you don't know where to put commas and where capitals? Do you need help with dialogue? Well, here you'll find it! I'll try to explain things the best I can, providing examples as well. There seems to be a lot of demand for this, and I might as well give it a nice format too. :)
