In the deep and ancient forest, many miles outside the highly religious Settlement, lives Eden, a girl who can see and communicate with Wandering Souls- troubled spirits that haunt the area. She has lived alone for five years after Cassia, her caretaker, died. But in an interruption to her grief-filled, yet peaceful, life, she is forced into helping the Settlement solve their issue with the Wanderers- they are viciously haunting the town. Hugo, a boy whose past is deeply intertwined with Eden's, seems to be the only one she can trust. Together, they search for the cause of the haunting. But as she learns more about the Settlement and her own past with it, she starts to question the town's beliefs and her new family's safety in it.

Massachusetts Bay Colony is a hard place to grow up, especially if you're living in Salem Village in 1692. The hard Puritan values were already a challenge to live up to before accusations of witchcraft had spread across the village. Liliana was a 15 year old Puritan girl who was far from perfect and just wanted to live a life where she was free or her responsibilities. She tried to make her life better, but what did it cost her in the end?

A young teen girl, named Angie Brown, lives in Salem, Massachusettes-a village that is on edge with the recent rumors of witchcraft. With her two brothers to care for, she always has something to do. It isn't until one day when her perfectly normal life becomes something not-so-normal. She finds herself being lured the woods by a voice frightening, yet so endearing. But when she meets the mysterious stranger, she realizes that her life will never be normal again. A story of love and chaos. What does it take for Angie and this stranger to become something more? And how will her village react to her recent witch-like behavior?

To say I was wanted would be a lie. I suppose that would not be particularly astonishing, given the circumstances of my birth. In 1606, who would want a daughter born on Friday the Thirteenth, on the night of a new moon? At times I tell myself this is no fault of mine - how would I be to blame for the superstitious of many, for being born into such a society as I was? However, I cannot help feeling guilty whenever I think about myself - myself, and all the others left behind by chance.

I'm having a poetry assignment and I thought I'd share some here. Tell me what you think.

Sebuah kisah tentang siapa yang sedang berjuang untuk hidupnya.

This is just a story I had to write for English class. We were asked to write a gothic story after watching The Raven. And this is what I came up with. But this is a very graphically violent story and is quite disturbing. It has to do with religion so please don't feel like I'm persecuting Christians as insane or extremists. This is just a story. It has no reflection of any personal beliefs I have. This is also very twisted and sadistic. That's just how I came up with the writing. Don't worry. I'm no Michael Myers or Hannibal Lecter. Tacita should not exist. She is an oxymoron, a combination of two opposites. Her existence is seemingly contradictory - and she's the only one who's even aware of it. Oh, and she's a witch living in a Puritan society, hiding her identity from her family and doing her best to conform to social norms. But is her best enough in an unfamiliar land amongst nameless strangers? It becomes harder to hide when everyone is constantly watching. Tacita is playing with fire both physically, and metaphorically.

She had done nothing wrong, nothing more than be favored by her father, but her brother's insanity and the paranoia of her town has her in a cell anticipating a morning trial in which she'd be judged a witch. Take in this gripping short story about a woman too easily accused and stripped of power, and about the friends on which she must rely to obtain true freedom.

when two worlds cum together

A ten minute play I wrote. A woman makes an accusation of witchcraft and a Puritan preacher and Judge hear her out.

Delilah Eve and her mother are outcasts in their small village because of folklore and rumours surrounding Delilah's father. Her mother is mentally unstable since the 'incident' and Delilah is ostracised from the rest of the village, leaving her alone. Tormented by night terrors, one night she hears it - the music. Eager to find a way out of her lonely lifestyle, she goes into the field, towards the fire where she finds more than she bargained for. *A short story written for one of my university assignments - based on sleep paralysis*
