Written 10/08/14. This is a poem about reality. Also references my short story "Day Dreams". Please read that story first if you haven't. Truth is what's really there, reality is how we perceive things. Schizophrenics are the best example.

She is determined to keep herself, and her piece, safe from the inevitable occurrences of heartbreak and attention as she pushes away her responsibilities as a woman in her manipulative society. As she attempts to hide herself from finding her future spouse, Astra is struck with the opportunity to trust someone that isn't herself; and maybe even fall in love.
