Ilyan the Estimable has a secret. And everyone wants to know what it is. For sixty-three years, the venerable aquamancer has peddled his potions, dilutions, and elixirs from his little shop on Renner Street. It is a well-established fact that his potions just work *better* than his competitors': Stronger impact. Longer-lasting results. Fewer side effects. Rival aquamancers would be willing to pay large sums to get their hands on such a secret. Some would be quite willing to get it for them. If only a feisty, pedantic little apprentice didn't stand in their way.

Simply a story of a young girl named Monika. She was born in the pretty town of Springfall, and was raised in an orphanage, in which she was treated horribly. Early in the story, the orphanage mysteriously burned down, leaving Monika sitting in the ashes, the only one left alive. She is adopted by the archbishop and wakes up years later in his palace. This story follows what happens afterwards, and how this young girl gets everything she has ever wanted, before having it all stripped away. " At age 12, every child is to take a pill, this pill will activate any dormant abilities within a child, a select few have these dormat powers, all these children are then rounded up and taken to what is known at the Academy of the Gifted, or AotG, where they learn about their powers and are placed with other gifted individuals. We've all been to school at some point in our lives. We know the routine and I could tell you a story about witches and wizards that cast beautiful spells and defeat monsters. Nope. I'm going to tell you all about the Academy of the Gifted, the strangest place on Earth. I mean what other place has a girl who can shoot fire from her hands or a guy who can summon the dead? And don't even get me started on the girl who talks to fish, but what happens when someone decides, "No More?"
