Description: They were rivals from the start-Yunli, clever and mischievous, and Yanqing, sharp and disciplined. What began as stolen swords and clashing blades slowly became teasing, banter, and unexpected friendship. But before either could understand what it meant, life pulled them apart. Years later, fate throws them back together. Old rivalries flare, but so do feelings that neither expected. As they fight side by side, face danger, and learn to trust one another, the line between enemies and something more begins to blur. With swords, shared moments, and hearts on the line, will their reunion finally allow them to see what's been there all along-or will the years apart leave their feelings forever unspoken? Disclaimer: I do not own any characters, game or art that you might see in this story all credits go to their respective creators/owners.

Kangxi ascended the throne at the age of eight. Following the posthumous decree of the Shunzhi Emperor, four regents were appointed to assist him: Soni, Sukesaha, Ebilun, and Oboi. Among them, Oboi was arrogant due to his achievements, becoming tyrannical and despotic. After the old minister Soni died of illness, Oboi won over Ebilun and executed Sukesaha, who refused to cooperate with him. He then monopolized state power, often roaring in the throne room and forcing Kangxi to submit to his will. At the age of fourteen, Kangxi officially took personal rule of the government. However, Oboi not only refused to return power to the emperor but also formed a clique for his own selfish interests, gathering cronies and plotting to assassinate the monarch to usurp the throne. From then on, Kangxi wielded imperial power personally, laying a solid political foundation for the revitalization of the Qing Dynasty.

Time seemed to stop for us as we gazed deeply into each other's eyes. Tears welled up as memories of us growing up together, although by a strange twist of fate that both binds us, yet separates us 300 years apart. "I found you." I choked up. "No. I found you." he carefully lowered his forehead agat mine as if a slightest pressure would cause all of this to crumble into dust. Elizabeth and Yongqi meets in a bizarre incident during their respective play time and they became unconventionally best friends. Their biggest hurdle is time. As Elizabeth and Yongqi finds love as they are growing up, they now fights against the limitations of time to be together. Except, it seems, fate has something else in store for them. Time is an illusion; it is relative - it can vary for different observers depending on your speed through space. Space is our three dimensional coordinates, showing location while time provides the coordinates of direction that conventionally, it only moves forward. Who is to say, time in existence, is only unidirectional? ;) ~L.Sekai

If you liked Yanxi Palace, here's a narrative of the entire drama in English, as accurate to the events as seen in the show as possible :) disclaimer: the plot and characters are not mine, however the English narration of the events and arrangement of the scenes appropriate to a book format are. I also personally translate the dialogue through the use of my brain and some informed used of google translate lol while checking their accuracy against the fan-made english subtitles

Beijing, 1912. The air is thick with the scent of coal smoke and the looming shadow of revolution. The Qing Dynasty, desperate to cling to its fading power, has turned its wrath upon the "foreign" believers. To the Imperial Court, the Christians have disrupted the sacred Mandate of Heaven; to the scholars, the new 5% tax is a death sentence. Jake Rich is a man caught between two worlds. A gifted writer with a mounting pile of debt and a heart for the Gospel, he finds himself at the mercy of a ruthless Head Eunuch. The decree is simple but impossible: Deliver $3,000 to the Imperial Family by sundown on Christmas Day, or be sent to certain death on the frozen northern frontlines. With no gold to his name and the "Kingdom of God" under siege, Jake joins a desperate band of believers who choose a different kind of currency. Using their own blood to ink a petition of faith, they prepare to confront the Son of Heaven himself. In a city of jade and iron, Jake must discover if the pen-and the blood of the faithful-is truly mightier than the Imperial sword.
