Lando was clearly annoyed with himself, not replying and simply looking downwards, chewing on his bottom lip in guilt. "you were so nice to me, you saved my life and then as soon as the cameras switch on and there's people around us you act like i mean nothing, like it all never happened." she continues, the tears build up in her eyes, she had no clue what she was feeling, anger, pain, hurt, confusion, desperation.

Every 100 years, a new royal family is chosen to lead over the remnants of Earth's surviving humans. After the weather ruined the lands around them and destroyed Earth's former ecosystem, humans began to receive gifts corresponding to different elements. Their mutation allowed them to thrive in this environment and set them up on a path to a greater civilization. Lilia and August are members of different Houses who are to compete for the chance to rule for a century. However, once they reach the Capitol, their lives and potential romance are put at stake as a rebellion led by the quadrants shatters all they hold dear. Learning that their utopian form of government is all a lie, they will have to decide which side of the war they will side on. Will they attempt to go back to ignorance and fight for what they know is wrong or will they decide to fight for what is right and protest the lies they have been told all their life?
