Katniss returns to district twelve, where she learns that not only is she pregnant, she is also being forced back into the arena, where she should have been killed the first time, for a victor only quarter quell. She is left with one choice before heading into the arena, abort the baby or risk delivering in the games. At the same time as the games, the rebels are plotting behind Katniss's back and Snow isn't convinced of her love. Everyone believes this baby is Peeta's, however Snow wonders if the actual father is the boy back home, Gale. If she can survive these games, what will it mean? Can Katniss actually convince him? With a war on the horizon, how can she protect everyone she loves?

This story dives into the social and political implications of this concept while also exploring the reasons why the Quarter Quells were announced in the first place.
