A young teenage Lincoln was living a good life, he had good friends, a good family, and a loving relationship with Ronnie Anne. That is... Until a speedster superhero blows through Ronnie Anne like a bullet train. Worst of all the hero gets off scot-free for his actions and Lincoln is simply left to grieve. With his eyes open, Lincoln discovers how truly corrupt superheroes are. This shock, matched by his grief, drives Lincoln into insanity. After vanishing off the face of the Earth for 8 years, the sisters, now pro heroes themselves, see their brother once more... after destroying The Seven and City of Toronto. Now Lincoln goes by as Payback with a suit that gives him powers that rival Homelander, and with him comes a group consisting of mystical to once thought fictional beings. Now the Loud sisters must fight their own brother and his team called, "The Loud Boys" as they make it their goal to kill self-proclaimed heroes, reveal the "Skeletons" in their closets, and destroy the corrupt hero society. When Marvin Biddy, a farmer from the small Irish town of Killaghlan, accidentally unearths an ancient Celtic artifact that had been hidden in the ground for centuries, he contacts local historian Tom Molby hoping for a fat reward. As soon as Tom sees what his friend has found, he knows that he will need an expert opinion. The next day, Nuala Carver, Professor for Medieval Irish History at Trinity College in Dublin, receives an invitation to Killaghlan to investigate an outstandingly preserved piece of ancient jewelry: a necklace made of solid gold with a large ruby dangling from it. When Nuala sees the attached photograph, she knows immediately what she is looking at. The necklace and its attachment in particular are known as "Queen Maeve's Tear", a powerful magic lock to keep the gate to the Otherworld closed. Nuala Carver has buried it about 800 years ago at the very same place where Marvin Biddy had stumbled over it. Suddenly haunted by the ghosts of her past, Nuala leaves Dublin to meet with Killaghlan's local historian Tom Molby. On the way to Killaghlan she is forced to fight old demons and long forgotten memories. Will she find peace once she has returned to the place where it all began?
