this is a beth x benny fic about the time they spent together in new york during the show :) before beth and benny met beth had never felt any love like this. together, beth is learning to open up and grow together.

Benny looked down at his white coffee mug. "Yeah, I do". "Then why don't you do something about it?" Harry questioned. "How do I know she feels the same way". "You don't," said harry. "You need to try to find out though". Benny looked at him. "Thanks... I'll think about it". "Yeah. you do that," Benny thinks about Beth only to get advice from an old friend of hers...

He played with her inner fire, trying his best to control himself. She meets him unable to calculate nor let go. It is the way he knows her. The way he loves her for exactly that. From sort of friends and love-at-first-sight to more.. Beth Harmon, a chess prodigy. What happens when Beth finds some cassette tapes to watch.

I just watched Queens Gambit and might be in love with Benny Watts, played by the fabulous Thomas Sangster of course.

Since it doesn't look like we will be getting a second season of the queens gambit, I decided to write a sort of epilogue to the end of the series of what I think happened in regards to Beth and benny. (Remember this is MY opinion on what happened and I know everyone has different opinions on it but I decided to turn mine into a story) but anyway this is what I would like to think is what happened and I hope you enjoy!!

After Beth wins in Russia she returns to the states only to hear about a new protégée .who is said to be better than harmon her name is Ashley Taylor who comes from a wealthy family with a lot of dark history from her child hood. Taylor talks smack about Beth so Beth decides to go against her to humble Ashley. They have a lot of hatred towards each other but the second they meet there is undeniable tension between the two of them. The game ends with a draw which surprises everyone because Beth hasn't had a draw in years and Ashley hasn't had a draw ever in her career. A couple months later they meet in Vegas at a tournament and they play against each-other in the final, Beth is practically bankrupt because she relapses and begins to gamble now and Ashley knows that. The game is put on pause till the next day and Ashley calls Beth wondering if she can come over in the middle of the night because she wants to talk. Ashley goes over to Beths and Ashley tells Beth that she has a plan as to how Beth can beat her, because Ashley doesn't need the money but Beth does. They spend all night planning out how Beth can beat Ashley and the tension between the two of them grows even bigger and they become kind of obsessed with each other and have a weird kind of love towards eachother. Will this love grow even bigger or to something else, how does a rival become a lover ?

Y/n comes out of The Box with a boy and no memory of their previous life. When they realize they are in a maze, the two slowly have their eyes on the job of becoming a runner. They try convincing the gladers that after the 3 years the original runners have been searching, the brand new runners have officially found a way out. She slowly starts to realize that she isn't like the others and can do things the others can't do. Will they make it out of the maze? Will she be able to handle her new life? What will happen if they do get out of the maze? TO BE CLEAR I ONLY OWN Y/N CHARACTER-WISE. SOME EVENTS WILL BE MINE AND THE OTHERS WILL BE FROM JAMES DASHER.
