Y/n L/n is a bartender in downtown NYC, the first female in the city to be one. Y/n doesn't necessarily like the job; but it keeps the income flowing in as she attempts to be a star on Broadway. Her unique position brings lots of customers in, but she holds her head high through it all. Benny Watts is a chess grandmaster, and is on top of the world. Tonight, as well most nights, Benny goes out in downtown NYC with his friends. However, this time, it's his birthday, and his friends are determined to bring him to a bar he's never been before. Benny and Y/n are by no means of the same status, but Y/n piques Benny's curiosity, and Y/n finds him amusing, so they become fast friends. Possibly, there's something more than friendship hiding underneath the surface... Y/n comes out of The Box with a boy and no memory of their previous life. When they realize they are in a maze, the two slowly have their eyes on the job of becoming a runner. They try convincing the gladers that after the 3 years the original runners have been searching, the brand new runners have officially found a way out. She slowly starts to realize that she isn't like the others and can do things the others can't do. Will they make it out of the maze? Will she be able to handle her new life?
