Queensgambit Stories

Beth Harmon's Moscow victory was supposed to be the end. But legacies don't end... they evolve. The Queen's Gambit 2 - Legacy continues Walter Tevis's 1983 novel and the Emmy‑winning Netflix series that captivated over 112 million viewers worldwide and sparked a global chess boom. This 87,000‑word sequel bridges fact, fiction, and history, introducing Ana Novikov and Zoya Popov alongside Beth and Benny, as the saga moves from Cold War intrigue into the 21st century. ♟♞♜♛♚♝♟♞♜♛♚♝♟♞♜♛♚♝ Tevis's book, once a quiet classic, became a New York Times bestseller nearly four decades after publication, propelled by the Netflix adaptation. The miniseries captivated millions, won 11 Primetime Emmy Awards, and sparked a global chess boom: U.S. chess set sales rose 87%, chess book sales skyrocketed 603%, and online platforms like Chess.com saw unprecedented traffic, with grandmasters such as Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura becoming mainstream names. Like so many artists before him, Tevis only achieved his greatest success after his death. Talent and skill alone didn't secure recognition; it took timing, luck, and the belief of producers Scott Frank and Allan Scott, who dared to adapt a story few thought could ever be popular. That posthumous triumph is itself a legacy - proof that brilliance sometimes waits decades to be seen. It's been a six‑year wait, but the saga finally continues. From Cold War intrigue to modern revelations, this transformative story explores survival, sacrifice, and inheritance, while staying true to Tevis's masterpiece and the television phenomenon. Featuring Beth Harmon, Benny Watts, and new voices like Ana Novikov and Zoya Popov, this 87,000‑word full‑length novel bridges fact, fiction, and history, extending the Queen's Gambit universe into the 21st century.

In a world where intellect reigns supreme, "The Grand Gambit: Masters of the Board" unveils an epic rivalry between two chess prodigies. As they navigate personal demons and societal expectations, their battle on the chessboard becomes a mesmerizing dance of strategy, passion, and the pursuit of greatness. Prepare to witness a clash of minds that will redefine the game forever

in the world of chess, brilliance often comes with a price-loneliness, obsession, and the constant need to prove oneself. for milana petrova, a prodigious player born into a legacy of grandmasters, the chessboard is her canvas. each move is a brushstroke, precise and deliberate, painting a vision only she can see. calculating yet instinctive, she maneuvers each match as though she already knows where the pieces will fall. yet behind her quiet confidence lies the burden of escaping her parents' control and carving out her own identity in a world where every move feels like a test. then there's benny watts-charming, cocky, and unorthodox. he's a chess prodigy who thrives on unpredictability, his bravado masking his own insecurities. when their paths first cross in 1962, lana becomes the one opponent who rattles his confidence. her reserved nature and unnerving precision create a tension he can't shake, and he's drawn to her for reasons beyond the game. what begins as a rivalry shifts into something more complicated as their lives intertwine over the years. from late-night chess matches to stolen moments filled with unspoken truths, lana and benny push each other in ways neither expects. their connection deepens, but so does the weight of their unspoken fears and unresolved tensions.

I just watched Queens Gambit and might be in love with Benny Watts, played by the fabulous Thomas Sangster of course.

The story of a Russian girl named Valentina who at 9 was put in the Methuen home for girls, how she learned chess and grew up to reunite with an old friend and become brought back into the world of chess, meeting a overconfident blond who wears a cowboy hat

In a family that wanted nothing more than chess glory, Kelly Stafford was always overlooked. Until the day she entered a tournament, where she was finally seen by Benny Watts.

"Do you love her?". "What?" said Benny rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Um". "Look, Benny," said Harry, "I don't know you very well. But you got me up here for her. You obviously care about her". Benny looked down at his white coffee mug. "Yeah, I do". "Then why don't you do something about it?" Harry questioned. "How do I know she feels the same way". "You don't," said harry. "You need to try to find out though". Benny looked at him. "Thanks... I'll think about it". "Yeah. you do that," Benny thinks about Beth only to get advice from an old friend of hers...

For now this is a small skit have have with an original character I'm working on. I am wanting to hopefully write a bunch at once to release at the same time if not I'll release them as more one shots. That will be full length chapters. I don't own anything from the show ect.

He played with her inner fire, trying his best to control himself. She meets him unable to calculate nor let go. It is the way he knows her. The way he loves her for exactly that. From sort of friends and love-at-first-sight to more.. Beth Harmon, a chess prodigy. First time writer:) If you like it at some point, please consider sharing it or telling your friends, it is free and it would help me out a lot! Enjoy.

This is a slow burn romance between rival chess players. It is similar to the Queen's Gambit in the sense that although chess is a focal aspect of the story readers won't be required to know about chess in order to follow along with the story.

Jolene drags Beth to the US Open, without Beth knowing. Obviously she doesn't want to meet a certain man, but guess who she meets?

THIS IS SATIRE AND A JOKE!!! Dedicated to Catherine
