ሌላው ገፅታዬ (My Other Side) follows Fikir, a sensitive and introspective young man who also goes by the name Robel. Through his internal monologue and emotionally raw narration, Fikir recounts his journey of navigating love, identity, rejection, and acceptance in a society that does not fully embrace him.
He reflects on his school experiences, his budding attraction to men, his complex friendship with Kaleab, and his painful but enlightening encounters with love, sex, and emotional vulnerability. The story weaves moments of self-doubt, fleeting joy, and spiritual questioning, all while grappling with what it means to be seen, known, and loved as a queer man in Ethiopia.
Set against the backdrop of school life, intimate relationships, and personal awakening, the narrative paints a vivid picture of what it means to live between silence and self-expression, pain and liberation.
