In a world bound by expectations and the illusion of simplicity, The Quiet Between follows Elara, a woman navigating the tender chaos of loving two people at once-her husband, Liam, and her classmate, Anya. Elara's life is anything but conventional; divided between the steady, grounding presence of Liam and the electric, soul-deep connection she shares with Anya, she finds herself in the eye of an emotional storm. As existential philosophy echoes from lecture halls and the weight of unspoken questions press down on her, Elara grapples with guilt, joy, and the fear of hurting the people she loves most. But amid the chaos, there are moments-fleeting, luminous-where love simply is: a quiet touch in a crowded room, a whispered truth between kisses, the solace of being seen without being asked to explain. This is a story about queerness, ethical non-monogamy, and the quiet courage it takes to live a life that doesn't fit inside anyone else's boxes. Tender, introspective, and deeply human, The Quiet Between explores the fragility of desire, the strength of radical honesty, and the beauty of a heart big enough for more than one kind of love.

Ripped from two families before he was ten years old, to spend years in captivity, being tortured and a victim to painful and cruelsome experiments. When his older sister, Natasha Romanoff, finally finds him, he's too broken to return to normal all that fast, covered in wounds that will take a long time to heal. Aidan Stark on the other hand, grew up in safety, with privileges most others can only dream of. Still, he wears scars all over his soul, marked from a youth that proved to him that he's alone in this world and can't let anyone know who he really is. Neither Natasha, nor Tony, would ever have expected that these two would get along well, but once they get to know each other they become inseparable. Well, at least they try to be. At the already trying and turbulent age of thirteen, Shaye, a big, tall girl with frizzy hair and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), notices that the world around her is literally losing its infinity of colors. From her beloved plants to the peers at her school that she has trouble connecting with, everything seems to grow dimmer with each passing day. When Shaye does some investigating and finds that this is a natural occurrence that happens to everyone at around her age, she refuses to accept it. Even though she may not pay much attention to much of the world around her, she is deeply troubled by this phenomenon. As the vast spectrum of colors that used to fill up the world becomes less and less discernible, Shaye must get to the root of the problem with the help of some unlikely allies in her small suburban town, and she has to solve this mystery quickly before she loses her ability to see color forever.

Unafraid and compendious, the following text arranges facts that took place in 2001 that a first-person narrator speaks and reports his readers about bullying and humiliation bore during his first year in school. The text has the aim of calling attention to bullying practiced by conservative teachers that disguise hate and discrimination under religious views and arbitrary pedagogical practices. In the first part of the story, readers will learn about a series of attacks against a queer student made by his own teacher. She consistently harasses him with words, insults, and humiliation. The text also discusses the impact of harmful teaching to a child's mind and attitudes. In the next section, the narrator reminisces of his troubled first grade and accepts his mission of being a better and more understanding teacher than his abusive teacher was. Finally, in the concluding paragraphs, it is learned how ironic life can be to people who discriminate against other people. This text does not serve as a rant against teachers in the world. That is to say, it is a real-life story that unveils problematic teaching practices and complex damages to students' lives. To sum up, it is a tale of a kid that was born a queer and contemplated his queerness eventually despite the world's odds.

The last time Ruben had spoken to George it had been when he made a promise to him. That promise would lead to them never speaking again. Even though it wasn't George who made the promise he still knew he had to keep it. Years later when that is almost forgotten, some mutual friends of Ruben and George get together. Their one and only goal? Get them to reunite. Luckily with one of them (Waylan) is well off in money and just so happens to know of a hiking trip made for two. Of course their goal doesn't have anything to do with love, more than the need to finally move on. (look I know it sounds kind of boring but this is the first thing that I'm writing. Also summaries or blurbs or whatever just kind of suck to write. Please just give me a chance )

Sweet Mercy is a poignant exploration of self-worth, race, queerness, and the struggle to break free from the internalized beliefs that keep us tethered to harmful relationships. It is a story of heartbreak, but also of awakening-the realization that true love cannot come at the cost of one's own identity.
