It'll throw everything it can at you, try its hardest to twist and bend you until you snap and crumble under its never ending pressure and give in. Nyleve Liliac is living proof of this fact, living a life full of nothing but pain and sorrow-yet they're proof of yet another thing; no matter how much life can throw your way, in the end, things can always take a turn for the better.

Poetry is Drew Cramer's life. It has been the only constant, getting her through the death of her best friend last year. Her family's recent move has left her feeling uprooted and frazzled everything seems to remind her of Lauren despite this being a new place. Gwyn Fairchild is a local poetry legend , 22 and on a mission to change the world. Only the problem is that she is barely making it, working in a local coffee house and living in a one room apartment that she struggles to make the rent for. It's hard to change the world when you have to worry about whether you can afford food and pay your water bill too. Gwyn has many friends, but she longs for a deeper connection with someone. Nothing has been the same since Pam, her partner of four years, died in an accident last year. Both reeling from loss and searching for something to hold on to, Gwyn and Drew meet each other at just the right time. But nothing this good can last, can it?

Omar and Zaher, two young men from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, meet at an Islamic university and fall in love with each other. However, because they are gay in a conservative Muslim country where homosexual acts are punishable by death, the two lovers have one challenge every day: keeping their relationship in secrecy. Will the love between Omar and Zaher be strong enough to successfully face all challenges in a land of social pressures? Emily King is a young preteen girl who got a letter saying she was accepted into the Oldvalley Academy of Magic. While her adopted parents are originally against this, they decided to let her go in hopes that it will turn her against the practice of magic. Upon arrival, she meets Asia Taylor and Grayson Lloyd who, because of her adopted parent's homophobic and racist teachings, she becomes afraid of and tries to avoid. Emily will go on a journey of self discovery as she recovers from her adopted parent's wrong teachings.
