In a galaxy fractured by war and the loss of magic, a lone human boy awakens in a universe that hasn't seen his kind in decades. The alien species, divided and desperate, see him as a curiosity-and perhaps something more. As tensions rise and ancient forces stir, his presence becomes the spark that could reignite hope or plunge the galaxy into deeper chaos. Caught between warring factions and his own mysterious connection to magic, he must navigate a strange and dangerous new world where trust is fragile, and power is everything.

My goal here is cozy scifi. Writing is a slow process for me, but I would love to complete something. So far, I have the four main characters' perspectives written for one chunk of the story. Bertie is a nonbinary space lighthouse operator in a remote part of the galaxy. Their daughter, Syl, is a trans graphic designer. Her best friend, Alphena, has come to this remote solar system to perform at a solar eclipse festival. While there, Alphena plans to meet Grx, a man from a dating app, in person for the first time after several months of chatting.
