This is a true story I witnessed and felt I needed to turn into a book. Many details have been changed to keep identities anonymous, but most of what you're about to read really happened-and it's something that has stayed close to my heart ever since. This is not a love story, but something close to it. That summer, a lot of things I thought I understood-about my grandpa, about Gavin, and about the world-slowly unraveled. I began to realize that people are far more complicated than they seem at first glance. Enjoy this small story about a college student returning to his grandfather's place for summer break. I hope you find it cozy, casual, and comforting.
