A 14 year old girl named Joey is sent to live with her grandparents in rural Tennessee over the summer, while her dad is in a mental facility for depression. She knew it wouldn't be her cup of tea, given that she's from Chicago. And she was right. But past the mosquitos and problematic local rhetoric, there's a girl her age that she connects to. But over time, they become more connected than Joey could have predicted. I wrote this because I feel like there is so little representation for early teenage queer people, given that I'm one of them myself. There is 0 spice in this story, because they are 14. THEY ARE 14. This story contains mentions and references to suicide, racism, homophobia, and mental health issues. FYI, I'm white, and there are POC in this story, so if my portrayals of them come off as problematic, please let me know, and I will edit the story!

How cruel Fate's hand is, to give us love and then rip it away. I was born in the wrong time, and fate gave me a chance to live in the time I was meant to. It was the greatest and yet most painful thing that has ever happened to me. I met someone, who loved me when I was most broken. I was terrified of being truly loved by someone. He showed me I didn't have to be. He was the bravest person I've ever known. He died for love.

When their paths collide with Kelly - bold, unreadable, and running from something - and Luca, who wears danger like perfume, everything starts to unravel. Love becomes a weapon. Loyalty turns into a lie. And every touch feels like both salvation and sin. They all have something to atone for - but redemption has many shades. And not everyone will survive theirs.

An amateur writer and poet's personal book of poetry. Posted prematurely and rough around the edges. A writer wrestles within and takes it out on paper, consequently making it everyone else's problem. Enjoy my amateur poetry, at least i hope its somewhat amusing.

Vince was your average dirty blonde, green eyed, white boy. Everest was your alternative, emo, mixed boy. They were polar opposites, so, of course they were enemies, well at least Vince thought so. Every day, Everest would come into the library where Vince worked, they would banter back and forth and then the cycle would repeat. But maybe, behind the banter and one-sided 'hatred' is something more. (Hey it's Roe the author of "A Town Called Briewood" I was bored so instead of writing for my other story, I decided I would make another. Hope you enjoy.)

Liam is seven, quiet, creative, and not quite sure how to explain the truth he's only just starting to understand-that maybe he isn't a boy at all. The only place he feels safe being himself is with his cousin Leanne or his best friend Adam. But when Adam moves away and Liam's secret is discovered by his father, everything changes. Faced with threats of conversion therapy and a home that no longer feels safe, Liam's older brother Kyle makes a choice: they run. On bikes, with a backpack and a plan held together by hope, the two brothers flee north to find Adam-and maybe a new beginning. As the police search for them and the adults scramble for control, only Leanne knows where they might be heading. She must choose whether to protect a secret or save two boys who are just trying to be free. By Your Side is a heartfelt, coming-of-age adventure about identity, loyalty, and the people who stand by you when the world won't. A story for anyone who's ever felt different-and dreamed of being loved exactly as they are.
