Peter loved his father, even though he could be quite mean at times he appreciated him for keeping him safe. the outside world is dangerous, full of bad people who could kill Peter easily. so when someone from said outside world comes into Peter's space he panics, his father isn't home and if he found out Peter brought the man outside he'd be in so much trouble.
