(Not an entry into the #BattletheBeast contest). Penny, in his trips to other worlds, stumbles upon one that houses an opportunity to summon a god. One that is trapped and yearning to break free. One that is, perhaps, willing to lend a helping hand to their cause of killing the Beast. All they have to do is navigate deceptive forests, avoid psychopathic pixies, religious fanatics and maybe do a little dance number, of a sort.

His enemy arrives unexpectedly as Quentin Coldwater searches for some clue that can help to defeat the Beast. Unprepared, the Beast whisks Quentin away, all the while hinting that Quentin might be ready for a real fight... one day.

Percy Jackson is magical, and that is always gonna be a fact. He's also seriously protective of his friends, even new ones. Example, Eliot Waugh, Julia Wicker, Margo Hanson, and Quentin Coldwater. He's also had enough of powerful people messing with people who aren't as strong. So yeah, the moment he manages to get his hands on this so-called "Beast", he's ripping the guy a new one.

Julia finds the missing "Fillory and Further Book Six" manuscript and learns how they eventually defeat the Beast in a future timeline. She decides to use this knowledge and kill the Beast now. The problem is, someone must be sacrificed. When Quentin discovers Julia's plan, he must make an impossible choice between friendship and the greater good. This is my entry for SyFy's Battle the Beast Contest where the prompt was to write an alternate scene in which the characters from "The Magicians" TV series fought the Beast. Hope you enjoy it!!!!
