I also had some inspiration from the movie 'Brotherly Love ' The story is about a girl named Jasmin Gonguales who lives in the city of Philadelphia. She was almost about to begin school when suddenly her whole live changed into one big hopeless mess. Her father got murdered by a 21 year old man, who was about to shoot his ex/girlfriend down but her dad was at the wrong place, the wrong time, which made him the victim. Jasmin's parents were divorced and she didn't choose her dad for no reason, it was because her mom was addicted to alcohol. Now, she had to live with her alcoholic mother and her drugs dealing brother Benjamin. She loved him but his 'job' made them living in danger because you would never know who would suddenly come to your door. When Jasmin enters her new college, she comes in contact with this boy named Quincy. He came from the Hills, which was a whole other place then where she comes from. She is just a hood girl , and a hood girl can't be seen with a rich boy. You'll read the story behind that in the book. When her brother Benjamin finds out she is seeing Quincy, he starts threatening him.
